The greatest challenge I face at the moment is getting bikes people want and when they want them. 2021 is going to be a challenge for us all working in the bike industry as complete bike stock and common parts like cassettes and rear mechs are not due until late summer.
Our client wanted a Rail 9 back in October, but sadly the wait was too long and we needed to find a solution to get him his spec bike. He is a longstanding customer and he didn’t want to go elsewhere so we had to get creative. Perfecting bikes is what we do so taking off good components and replacing them with best is music to our ears.
All the major components had attention, forks, brakes, rotors, wheels, tyres, controls and there was nothing wrong with the original spec but when you have spent your life riding bikes you get to know how you want something to be. The new Fox 38 E-Bike specific fork and Magura MT7 brakes are the highlights. George took the original bike and stripped it completely before the full assembly with all the upgrades, very satisfying when the bike is complete again and rolls out the door. We plan to share more images in the future of how much work goes into assembling a bike well.
Do you have a bike already that is not working how it should or do you feel the bike is lacking something but you need some advice? Give us a try and see if we can help you. Just drop an email onto firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be in touch as soon as we can.
I have been in the cycling industry for 12 years and have been very fortunate to try out many different bikes. The bike that has eluded me until now was the perfect hardtail. There are lots of cool hardtail made here in the UK but mostly the hardcore hardtail variety and I have no shame in saying I am an XC boy so 160mm travel is too much for me, I like to feel the trail beneath my tyres. So here is my Fat Chance Yo Eddy from Portland USA. Chris Chance is the frame builder and he made some of the most successful XC bikes back in the late 80s and early 90s. He went away for some time but now he’s back making these incredible frames, which I had to have in my collection.
We do not sell Fat Chance however we love building custom bikes so if you see something interesting and you want to talk to people who understand bikes, give us a shout, we can help. email@example.com
From the website we want you to have a better understanding of what Ride Bikes Wales is all about, as people, who we are, what we ride and where. The business, why would you want to come to us? I can think of several reasons but I will leave it to you to come to your own decision.
The bikes we sell and the products we believe in. I cannot promise we will list out all of the spec for every bike and each component because we do not feel it is important but where we can we will throw you a link. We will show you a realistic representation of the bikes we keep in stock, We keep all of the Trek Bikes in stock that we feel are suitable for our customers in South Wales.
We also want to inspire you with stories and articles written by other cyclists, as our whole business since 2012 was built on positive word of mouth, we want to share some positivity by sharing routes, events and ideas on how you can make the most of your kit in this wonderful area.
